Christmas Vacation

This confirms that each of us departs Dec. 26, and that we return on Jan. 2. If that is not the case, please let me know.

Please confirm again your passports. Do you have them? If not, it will be big trouble.

Here is where we are going. Couldn't afford Cancun so we are going to Bisbee, Arizona, and we can use our passports to go into Sonora. http://www.thebisbeebuzz.com/attractions.html And all the attractions -- copper mines, bird observatory.

Note the Turquoise Valley Golf & RV Park, with a 747-yard Par 6. Since Bisbee can be in the 20s it might be cold, but should be fun!

Oh dad, you think you're so funny.

Yes, Cadence, Casey and I all have our PP.

SO FUNNY.

I have my passport, and I didn't even expedite it! Sorry for all you who did =(

Brisbee looks awesome. Maybe we can rent some ATVs and cruise in the desert hills.

Carly said...

I wonder, do they take pictures of the town set against the sunset to make it look more appealing?

Can't wait for the bird observatory, it's sure to be a family fav.

Its Bisbee. Dad says there are no hotels so we will be renting some RVs and experience true family togetherness. I'm so excited. I'm glad I got passports for all the kids.

What the heck:

Seriously what the heck:

Personally, I'm looking forward to the lovely smell of throw up that is sure to emanate from the RVs shortly into our trip.

We've all got our passports, although it looks to me like we could very well just walk across the border. We probably don't even need a coyote. Sweet, Dad, thanks!

And can I just say, I have a very optimistic husband. He read dad's post before any comments and he said, "Sweet, that should be fun!"

Hahaha, it was all I could do to not burst out laughing.

Aww, Casey's just too nice to say anything negative. Wish I were as positive.

Lindsay said...

Ummm, I think we really ARE going to Bisbee....

debora said...

Maybe not Bisbee, but how about Oxnard?

Rob said...

I don't understand the point of going to the beach in California in December, so I would very selfishly vote for another snowboarding trip.

Carly said...

I'm up for anything! It doesn't matter to me! Although when Casey caught wind of the Oxnard idea, he was VEEEERRY excited!! He can teach you boys how to surf!! :)

Carly said...

Then again, I'm sure he'd be equally stoked to snowboard.

Carly said...

However I know Sean's not too fond of the snow.

debora said...

The beach could be fun even in winter Rob. No snowboarding this time.
Any of you are welcome to offer up some ideas as to where to go.

Scott said...

so cancun isnt happening? why?

Sean said...

Let's go to the Zoo.

Carly said...

Let's camp in the mountains!!

Lindsay said...

We have too big of a family to go to Cancun...to quote Dad, "We should have stopped at Carly." Ha...just kidding!

I vote for somewhere warm, even if it's just good ole SoCal. San Diego? Florida??

KC said...

We definitely should keep the theme of RV's and RV parks going. You just can't go wrong there.}}:%{

Think about it.}}:%{

debora said...

Scott-in answer to your question-the cost of Cancun-45 grand- caused Dad to think twice, rightly so.
Sorry guys, I feel like we mislead all of you.
We still plan on going somewhere fun the week after Christmas. Hopefully RV's will not be in the picture. Yuck.

Seriously, what about Flordia, like Key West or something? It's probably the warmest beach area in the U.S. in Dec. Or would that be just as expensive with flights and everything? It'd be almost as good as Cancun.

If that doesn't sound good, Oxnard or San Diego would be fun...or whatever!

I just want to go to Disneyland.

C'mon, Oxnard would be fun. We could still go to Disneyland but if we wanted to go there from Oxnard it would be an extra 45 minutes or so. However, the Camarillo outlet stores are really close!! :)

Besides Manadalay is REALLY nice!!

Lindsay said...

Oxnard sounds great. On giving it a second thought, it would be a lot easier on the babies to not fly somewhere far.

San Diego would also be really fun. There are a lot of things to do there besides the beach, right? The zoo (for Sean), Sea World, Belmont Park...we could even use our passports in T.J.! :)

Mom, Dad, any thoughts?

I say we party like we're 19 yr olds being oppressed because we can't drink but we can go to war and hit TJ or Rosorita and club hop until we get to Senor Frogs.

Just remember to bring an extra $50 to pay off the Mexican Police when they arrest us.

We'll say the little kids/babies are midgets.

debora said...

I'm all for somewhere on the beach that is as warm as can be for So. Cal. in the winter.
I agree with Lins that it would be nice for the babies not to have to travel too much.
Bob- your thoughts?

Sean said...

I don't know but I'm thinking there aren't too many places in north America that are hot enough for a beach vacation in the winter...

I could be wrong tho.

Honestly just go snowboarding.

Lindsay said...

San Diego is probably the warmest place in SoCal...and like I said, there are lots of things to do there besides the beach.

Or San Fran could be fun...not beachwise, but lots of things to do there not snow related. I'd like a non-snow vacay, personally.

I've been looking at some San Diego rentals online.

debora said...

Thanks Lins-keep looking. San Fran sounds interesting as well. I'll ask Dad to check it out.

Carly said...

There are too many comments on here, we should just start a new post asking where we should go. Or is that stupid?

Nate said...

Let's not go someplace cold.

debora said...

do it Carly-start a new post that is.
