Some pics of Cadence!

Okay, so I know every parent thinks their own child is the most adorable, lovable creature on the planet. So it should should come as no surprise to any of you that I will now post pictures of whom I think is the most adorable, lovable creature on the planet.
The picture below is so classic. Note the saying on her shirt. And the fact she's playing in a box. This picture only somewhat captures how insanely excited she was to see live chickens and other foul.
Again, she was SO excited.
This is typical Cadence. Cruising by herself in a crowd of strangers.
This is only one of many pumpkins she HAD to sit on.
This next one only Sean will appreciate I'm sure. The man in the maroon polo is Tony Hale, a.k.a Buster from Arrested Development. Casey and I basically stalked him throughout Lombardi's debating about whether we should say something to him. We didn't.

I don't think you realize how much Lombardi's ranch tries to simulate autumn for LA folk until you've lived out of the area for a while. It's pretty funny but you have to appreciate the effort. Lots of memories there!

Carly Whitney and I argue all the time about who has the cutest niece, and I think I am right. I'm sad I don't get to see her more often. She'll be hulking teenager before you know it.

I don't think Cadence will ever be hulking. Looking at that first picture it makes you wonder what the little girl is thinking. Maybe " I am so adorable and everybody knows it" Yes Cadence that's right! You are the Princess.

In that third picture, Cadence looks pretty hungry to me. Pretty cute little girl.

Hey, I think Lombardi's does a pretty good job with the whole fall thing. Works for me.

Cadence is simply adorable. I miss sneaking her M&Ms and watching her run and jump on the tramp. Too cute.

I love the chicken pic. She's gotta a big mouth for such a little girl.

I hope you appreciate the pictures and memories of Lombardi's because it is no more. Burned in the fire. very sad.

Yes very sad. I have fond memories of all you little kids running throught the sunflowers and pumpkins at Lombardi's.
Its crazy burning and blowing here in Santa Clarita.

That is sooo sad!!! And how ironic that it happened right after we were talking about it. Are you guys okay?

So far we are fine. Newhall is the only place in Santa Clarita that doesn't have fires right now. Needless to say I am watching the hills around our house closely.
No school for the kids today and tomorrow.
Hey Rob, do you feel somewhat chagrined for making a little fun of Lombardi's now? That ranch is how the Lombardi family made their living.

Oh K-C was serious? It burned to the ground? That is sad. At least you got your pumpkins! I would hope that living in such a vulnerable spot out there that they had fire insurance...

Mom are you staring out the big windows at 2am as the flash of the fire lights scorch the sky and the plastic rolls across the window like waves in a black sea?

Oh wait, the plastic wouldn't be there...

that's truly sad though... amazing that we're talking about it in a blog post about visiting it...

No but we were up at 5:00 a.m. this morning watching the flames up on the ridge of eternal valley.
We actually packed up important stuff and put it in the cars just in case.
the wind is still blowing hard and it is dry, dry, dry.
Fires all over Southern California.

Dad, are those the same pumpkins that were eerily escaped burning? Be careful, they may be possessed.
