Pictures

Here is a link to the gallery of our pictures from the weekend.

I am holding my diploma because after 3 years I finally went and picked it up from the administration building.

The sister missionaries in the pictures practically walked right in when I was proposing. They were good photographers.

We went to La Vals on north side of campus, an old hangout, with some college buddies before the game.

The game was soaking, soaking wet and rather miserable. It was a steady drizzle the whole time. Yes, I was pretty much the only one that wanted to stay. Tawni, Nate's wife, had flip flops on. We lost to USC by a touchdown, but oh well...it was fun (for me only?).

I got water in the camera so that's why the photos from the next day are fogged up. It's ok now though, the camera has dried out.

P.S. Mom I'm anxious to see your post on what Dad did this past weekend. Get Nate to help you.

Well Rob I said it before and I'll say it again, she's too pretty. :)
I really can't wait to meet her, you two look VERY happy!!

And is it sad that not one person who went to Dad's thing thought to bring a camera??? I know I didn't. It was pretty cool. Dad really IS a big shot lawyer now.

And by the way Mom, where did you put his award?

Great pictures Rob. Whitney has the most beautiful eyes. I know I don't have to tell you that. You look very much in love. Yeah!
Carly, Dad's award is in his study. Post coming soon. Can you come over and help me?;)

You make such a cute couple! Whitney's a good sport for staying at the game with you...must be love. Can't wait to meet her--guess that will be in Merida, Mexico!

I brought Bob's award to work today and put it on my desk. I was hoping they would offer me a job at the sight of such a prestigious award. I didn't get any offers so I put it back into the study.

Okay, so where's this post??

Carly said...

Man, should I Just post about it? It's not like we have pictures from the thing. Except mom wanted to post the picture of Dad that was made into buttons by Brother Hall.

"I know Bob, BSL." Other than, there's no other picture. So mom, where is it?

Be patient.

Lindsay said...

Patience is not a virtue I naturally possess. I'm my father's daughter. :)

But I'll try.

BSL?? Ahhh, big shot laywer. Ha. I thought that was just a family thing.

Friends of the fam know Dad's real title.BSL

Looks like an amazing time you guys had there!

I'm happy for Rob but angry at the same time! I'm gonna have to stand behind Scott whenever we go to Grandma and Grandpa's house now, otherwise I receive the full brunt of his "just keep lookin Sean!" attacks! Scott will be an easy deflection. Nobody tell him.

Btw is anyone planning on filling in the rest of us (or just me?) about this Dad special event? Was it one of those BSL parades?

Lindsay said...

Yeah, I heard Dad was on a float tossing out candy to the crowds. That's about all I know.

I know what you mean about the "just keep lookin'" comments. Grandma, bless her heart, would always ask me if I was dating anyone "special". They mean well, of course, but I really didn't like the questions because I always had to say no!

Wow, this is intimidating. The whole Crockett family is going to read this. But maybe not since this is the third post down, so maybe I am safe.
Rob and I just went to look at the place where we are going to have the reception. It is going to be gorgeous! Lindsay and Carly and Cindy, I am so excited to meet you. I only have one brother and that is it, so to have sisters is going to be fantastic. And everyone else too. How amazing to fall in love with Rob and get all of you along with him!
Well, hopefully no one will read this. Talk to you all soon.

Welcome Whitney!! so glad you have joined in. I doubt you will get away with the fam not reading your comment since there are some of us whose main source of entertainment is this blog.:)
Please read and comment often. It will be a great way for all of us to get to know you. Maybe you've figured out by now that we are not big phone conversationalists.
One last thing. I am excited about your wedding colors. My favorite color is red.
One more last thing. I'm thrilled to have another beautiful daughter join our family. We need more girls!

Sorry Whitney, you're not completely safe, but good try! :) I am very excited to have our first of many sister-in-laws, and you are a great one! I can't wait for your wedding, it will be beautiful, I'm sure.

Hey Debbie, I am glad you like red because the wedding colors are going to be a deep red, a cream and dark brown. I know that Rob talked to you about having all the boys in tuxedos. I think that will be fun and make for some great pictures. I think I am going to have all the girls in the same skirt and then they can get whatever top they want but in the same cream color. The skirts are going to be red and I found a pattern for a beautiful skirt that is so elegant but incredibly easy to make. My mom will make them. She is an extremely talented seamstress. I'll email you all a picture of the skirt. My mom and I will get the fabric and then Kelli and Jackie (my sister-in-law) can come for fittings and have theirs made first. Then we will get measurements for Lindsay, Carly and Cindy. Debbie, you and my mom can wear whatever you would like in whichever of the wedding colors you want. I'll send swatches of fabric so you can know exactly what the colors are like. Wow, planning a wedding is crazy, but will be so much fun!

Whitney I can't wait to get the fabric swatches. This is all very exciting. It will be fun to experience a wedding from the mother of the groom perspective. Your mom is wonderful to sew all the skirts. I used to sew all the time. Now I just run. so silly
BTW please tell me your parent's and your brother's names. It would be good to know.

Carly said...

Oh yes Mom you're so silly.

Hi Whitney! I hope your mom won't mind just making a tent out of that fabric for me, I'll no doubt be as big as a house. :) But in all seriousness mine will most likely have to be made with elastic around the waist.

The colors you chose sound so gorgeous. I was in love with the colors and flowers from my wedding, deep reds and pinks. Red and white are just so pretty together.

Rob said...

Yes Carly we already discussed your elastic band skirt.

debora said...

Clothes that stretch are so important when you are pg.

Carly, I had you particularly in mind when I was thinking about the skirts because I knew you would be quite pregnant at our wedding :) So, the skirts are wrap skirts. Your growing belly won't be an problem at all!
Debbie, my parents names are Don and Kerry Lynn Herrin. My brother is Taylor, his wife is Jackie and their children are Claire (2) and Kyle (nearly 1 month). I will have Rob help me on Thanksgiving and we will post a blog with a bunch of information about my family and hopefully some pictures. Sorry Rob won't be with you all for Thanksgiving, however I am really happy that he will be with me :)

Carly said...

Aww, thanks Whitney!
